What is the Consumer Code? 

The Consumer Code was created by a number of home warranty bodies and it requires all Home Builders to follow and adhere to the guidelines it sets out. This is to ensure that all home buyers are guaranteed an agreed level of service.

The Code ensures that home buyers:

• Are treated fairly
• Know what service levels to expect
• Are given reliable information to make informed decisions
• Know how to access speedy, low-cost dispute-resolution arrangements if they are dissatisfied
